CCR

Folks:

John Fogerty's band, Creedence (originally known as Creedence Clearwater Revival) was extremely popular between 1968-71.

At times, on 45 RPMs and LPs, they were outselling The Beatles, The Stones, The Doors, Led Zep et al. That is how big their influence was.

Serious infighting led the foursome to split. John Fogerty continued to issue important recordings and is a permanent fixture at every Rock & Roll Hall of Fame gathering.

Rockabilly, blues, gospel, blue grass, cajoun, country and many other styles make for the full array of their music.

For us who are scratching our 50s and 60s of age (bunch of old farters, eh?), Creedence conveys an infinite mixture of emotions, memories and good feelings. As simple as that.

Enjoy Proud Mary original version and the paramount cover performed by Ike & Tina Turner in 1970.
